The cushions are sent to you folded or rolled.<br><br> <b>Step 2: Insert Cushion into Flange Tunnel</b><br><br> Use thumb to guide cushion into flange. To help slide in smoothly, a little lubricant like coconut oil may be used on the inside of the flange.<br><br> <b>Step 3: Smooth Out Creases Along the Cone</b><br><br> The neck of the cushion may not touch the inside of the flange tunnel, that is normal! Cushions are meant to move with your skin, keeping you from rubbing against the hard plastic of the flanges.<br><br> <b>Step 4: Place Flange with Cushion Insert</b><br><br> Place flange with cushion insert centered on your breast, and begin pumping as usual.<br><br> <b>Cushion Care Tips</b><br><br> - Replace cushions every 2-8 weeks, based on length and frequency of use and care.<br> - Hand wash cushions with mild soap and warm water.<br> - Open washed cushions to high temperatures to prevent tearing.
